Why Training Your Dog Is Important:

Unfortunatly, there are thousands of dogs and puppies surrendered and/or euthanised at shelters every single year. The majority of these dogs that are turned in by owners are surrendered due to some preventable behavior issues. Luckily the dog training field is growing and there are now a lot of resources available to help prevent dogs from having to be surrendered to a shelter and be euthanised.

 

"Dog's often behave like small children". You've probably heard this from fellow dog owners. Puppies, like children, can be sweet, innocent and playful and at the same time be a BIG handful. They're not born with the knowledge of what proper behavior is. Due to this it is your job, as the owner, to teach your puppy/dog good mannors. 

 

Training your dog teaches your dog to accept you as a benevolent leader. The end result will be that your dog will learn to listen to your cues while you eliminate or curtail unacceptable behavior challenges.
